Sarkissjan opened the chess game between Armenia and China for the Chinese Yue Wang on the stage in the main hall. While FIDE President Kirsan Iljumschinow started the match between Germany and Latvia in the Open, the President of the Chess Association of Estonia, Karmen Kass, opened the encounter of the German ladies with the Swedish team.
